Welcome! We're glad you're here!
What: TryTank has partnered with the monks of the Society of Saint John the Evangelist to produce a new resource aimed particularly at smaller congregations. That said, any congregation can use it and we have also paired it with an adult forum curriculum. From Ash Wednesday to Easter Sunday, including all the Sundays of Lent, Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday, and Good Friday, each will have a short sermon by the brothers. They are based on the Sunday lectionary. The sermons will be available on the web and can be played as a sermon during the service.
Why it matters: The Episcopal Church has almost 6,000 congregations. According to the Church Center in New York, 1730 of these congregations have 29 or fewer people on a Sunday. Many don't have clergy every Sunday. We hope that this resource will provide congregations with a deep encounter with the longing for the incarnation that is Christmas.
The details: If you would like to use the sermons, we ask that you fill out the form below. We will then give you access to the materials. There is no cost for this. We do ask that at the end of the season, you fill out a survey for us. We want to make it better for the future.
If you have any questions, please send us a note here.
